Former Student Seeking Degree / Reverse Transfer

Did you finish your degree requirements but didn't receive your degree? Were you very close to earning your degree, but you transferred to another college before completing those remaining few classes? Either way, follow the steps below and earn what you learned.
 

Former Student Seeking Degree: If you didn't apply to graduate, but have all your credits, please complete steps 1 and 2.

Reverse Transfer: If you have taken additional college courses since leaving BSC and would like to apply to graduate, please complete steps 1, 2 and 3.

This process recognizes your accomplishments and awards you the important credential you deserve. Degrees will be awarded at the end of the semester.

Steps to Earn Your Degree

To earn your degree, complete the following steps:

  1. Submit Readmission Application for Degree
    • Go to NDUS Guest Page
    • Select Bismarck State College in the left menu
    • Select "Readmission for Degree"
  2. Application for Degree
    • Use the current semester and current year as your Graduation Term
    • If you don't remember your campus email, you may use a preferred email.
  3. Reverse Transfer Students ONLY:
    • NDUS transcripts will automatically be fetched by BSC.
    • Request all other Non-NDUS college/university transcript(s)be sent to:

Bismarck, ND 58506-5587

Please note: All final transcripts from other colleges or universities must be received in the Academic Records office 30 days after the end of the semester.

What Happens Next?

After you've applied, here's what happens next.
  1. A confirmation email will be sent once the Application for Degree has been submitted
  2. A pre-evaluation will be completed by Academic Records to ensure your degree requirements have been met (you will be contacted only if Academic Records has any questions or you are not eligible for your degree).
  3. A final evaluation will be completed at the end of the semester once final grades are posted (this process can take 3-4 weeks).
  4. Degree will be posted to your BSC transcript and diplomas will be mailed 4-6 weeks after the end of the semester.
